Metro Vancouver retained WSP for the design of the Capilano Raw Water Pump Station Back-up Power in the area of the main entrance to the protected Capilano watershed, north of Capilano River Regional Park in North Vancouver.

Integral Engineering designed and provided the IFC drawings for

  1. The Powerhouse, a 41 m x 33 m x 8 m tall one story heavy industrial building consisting of composite concrete steel roof on reinforced concrete walls and heavy foundations to house the generators and other mechanical electrical equipment.
  2. The Fuel underground Vault, a 24.5 m x 15 m x 6 m deep, watertight Vault and entrance building on top. The structure consists of reinforced concrete roof designed for highway loading, on RC walls on a thick concrete base slab to resist the buoyancy forces of high-water table.
  3. The Gatehouse, one story 20 m x 9 m building with complicated structural features.
